Transit-oriented redevelopment along the proposed new north/south LRT line

Greenberg Consultants, in association with GHK International (Canada) has been retained by the City of Ottawa to develop the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Corridor Community Design Plan for the proposed corridor between Bayview/Somerset and Carling. This plan will guide public and private investment in the area, including the design of the LRT stations. Of critical importance to the design of these areas is to ensure that growth and development reflects transit-oriented development while maintaining sensitivity to the surrounding community context. This work has also led to further assignments relating to implementation vehicles for the plan and a more detailed investigation of integrated design at the Bayview/Somerset Station.
